Private Spanish Lessons

Individuals and small groups

This is a one-to-one tailor-made lesson. The lessons are usually of 90 minutes duration. However, I am open to all suggestions, so you can decide on the length of your lesson.

If you are a student, you are welcome to split the cost of the lesson with a friend.

What happen next?

First of all, you decide on the time and location that suits you. I will then assess your level and discuss your needs. Based on this information, lessons will be tailored to help you achieve your goals.

Your progress will be monitored during each lesson. Your personal preferences, which may change as your Spanish improves, will also be updated.

How do I teach?

In General Spanish you will learn and improve the Spanish you need in all the different situations of ordinary everyday life: for example speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, conversation, pronunciation, reducing your accent, public speaking, comprehension, punctuation, spelling, formal and informal Spanish, idiomatic expressions, usage, letters, emails, applications, forms, interviews, CVs, etc.

I will work not only on improving your spoken Spanish, but every so often I will go back to the foundations of the language just to make sure your Spanish is developing in a consistent way.

After every lesson I will email you some notes in order to help you to remember what you have learnt during the session. I will also be happy to give you some extra work If you have flexible schedule.

General Spanish will help you to develop your confidence and ability to communicate fluently, accurately, and effectively.

In Conversational Spanish, lessons are normally divided into 3 different parts, and can be modified according to your needs and wishes:

a) Reading:

I will ask you to read an article that is related either to current events, business or something you are interested in. You will read the text aloud and I will correct any pronunciation mistakes, assess your comprehension and build up your vocabulary.

b) Conversation:

In this part, I will discuss the article. During the conversation, I will again correct your grammar and any pronunciation mistakes.

c) Grammar:

I will review the grammar with which you had problems.

Finally, I will always ensure that all your doubts and questions are answered, and you can feel free to bring any additional material that you would like to discuss or work on with me.

Fees & Payment

Fees are in British Pounds Sterling (outside the UK you can pay in your local currency) and include all the materials you will need in lessons, preparation of your lessons, and initial and ongoing assessment of your needs, preferences, and progress.

You may pay in cash after face-to-face lessons, or in advance by bank transfer or PayPal.
